Check which phone numbers are on WhatsApp, in bulk

For anyone with a contact list they haven't messaged yet. Paste the numbers or upload a CSV or Excel file, and WbizTool checks each one from your connected WhatsApp number and tells you which have WhatsApp. Nothing is sent to the numbers you check.

Number checks need the Standard plan or above, from $59 a month in the US. Lite and the free trial don't include them.

How it works

  1. Connect your WhatsApp number

Link a number like WhatsApp Web, with a QR code or a pairing code. The checks run from it. A number connected through the browser extension can't check numbers.

  2. Add your list

Open Number verification under Contacts and click Check numbers. Name the list, then paste the numbers or add a .csv, .xls or .xlsx file of up to 5 MB. Repeated numbers are checked once.

  3. Let it run

The list shows as In progress. Sending comes first: while your numbers send messages, for example a campaign, checking waits and then continues by itself.

  4. Download the results

Each number ends up as On WhatsApp or Not on WhatsApp / invalid. Look through them on the page or click Download CSV to get one row per number.

What you can do

  • Paste, upload or both

Paste numbers one per line or separated by commas, add a file, or do both: they're combined into one list. The dialog tells you how many entries it skipped and why.

  • Numbers cleaned up for you

A +, spaces, dots, dashes and brackets are removed. A number without a country code gets your workspace's country, so in India 98765 43210 is checked as 919876543210.

  • No message sent

Nothing goes to the numbers you check, and checks don't use your messages. They have their own allowance on your plan.

  • Results you can use

Tabs show each result with its count, and you can search for a number. The CSV opens in Excel or Google Sheets, ready to clean your list before a campaign.

  • Check numbers through the API

Start a check from your own software with /api/v1/verification/create/. It returns a campaign_id straight away, which you use to read the status and the results.

  • Plan allowances

Standard checks 5,000 numbers per billing period, Advanced 20,000 and Enterprise 100,000. One list can't be bigger than your plan's allowance.

Good to know

  • Lite and the free trial don't include number checks. Standard costs $59 a month in the US; other countries see their own price on the pricing page.
  • Not on WhatsApp / invalid also covers numbers that couldn't be checked, for example because the length is wrong or the country code is missing.
  • Every number queued counts toward your allowance, whatever its result. There's no button to stop a list: support can stop it, and the stopped numbers still count.
  • A list and its results are deleted about 180 days after its last check, so download the CSV to keep them.
  • A number on WhatsApp isn't a person who wants your messages. Send only to people who know you and expect to hear from you.

Questions

Can I check WhatsApp numbers for free?
Not on WbizTool. Number checks start with the Standard plan. The free trial lets you send 50 messages in any 30 days, but it doesn't include checks.
Is a message sent to the numbers I check?
No. WbizTool only finds out whether each number has a WhatsApp account. Nothing is sent to it.
How many numbers can I check?
5,000 per billing period on Standard, 20,000 on Advanced and 100,000 on Enterprise. All your lists together can't go over that, and the count starts again each period.
Which files can I upload?
.csv, .xls and .xlsx files of up to 5 MB. Put the country code first, such as 919876543210, or leave it out for numbers of your workspace's country.
Can I check numbers through an API?
Yes, on plans that include number checks. Create a check, read its status, then fetch the results. These endpoints use an Authorization: Bearer header, and numbers need their country code.
Is this the official WhatsApp Business API?
No. WbizTool works from your own WhatsApp number, linked like WhatsApp Web, with no Meta approval.
