Twilio WhatsApp alternative with a flat price and no templates
Twilio gives developers the official WhatsApp Business Platform through its API: a WhatsApp Business Account, business verification, pre-approved templates and pay-as-you-go pricing – Twilio's fee per message plus Meta's template fees. WbizTool takes the other route – it sends from the WhatsApp number you already use, linked like WhatsApp Web, for a flat monthly price, with a dashboard for people who don't code.
Twilio is a developer API for the official WhatsApp Business Platform, paid per message. Facts about Twilio come from its own website, checked on 17 October 2026; prices are US prices and may differ in your country.

When Twilio is the better choice
- You're a developer building the official WhatsApp Business Platform into your own app, with code samples in many languages.
- You send few messages: pay as you go, with no monthly plan, can cost less than a flat price.
- You need Meta's approved route, for example for large audiences or because your industry requires it.
When WbizTool fits better
- You want to send from the number you already use on your phone, without a WhatsApp Business Account, business verification or templates.
- People who don't code send too: campaigns from a sheet with safe pacing, reminders, Google Sheets, a Shopify app, an n8n node and an optional team inbox.
- You send every day and want one flat monthly price instead of a fee per message plus Meta's template fees.
Try WbizTool in a few minutes
- Start the free trial – 50 messages in any 30 days on 1 number, no card.
- Link your WhatsApp number with a QR code or a phone-number code, the way you link WhatsApp Web (how).
- Send from the dashboard, a Google Sheet, Zapier or the Send Message API.
WbizTool isn't the official WhatsApp Business API: it sends from your own number, so WhatsApp's rules apply to it. Message people who expect to hear from you; campaigns are paced to keep your number safe.
Questions
- Is Twilio cheaper than WbizTool?
- It depends on how much you send. Twilio charges $0.005 per WhatsApp message plus Meta's template fees and shows no monthly plan; WbizTool is $25 a month for 1 number with no per-message fee, unlimited under fair use up to 1,000 messages a day. At Twilio's own fee alone, $25 pays for 5,000 messages – so below that Twilio can cost less, and above about 5,000 messages a month the flat price costs less even before Meta's fees.
- Is WbizTool an official API like Twilio?
- No. Twilio uses the official WhatsApp Business Platform: the number must not already be on WhatsApp, Meta verifies your business, and messages outside the customer service window need pre-approved templates. WbizTool links your existing number the way WhatsApp Web does, so none of that applies – but WhatsApp's rules apply to your number, so message people who expect to hear from you.
