A WhatsApp MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT and your code editor
Ask an AI assistant "which messages failed today, and why?", "pause the rent reminder" or "send our new opening hours to these five customers", and it does it with your WbizTool account. WbizTool's MCP server speaks the Model Context Protocol, so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code can use it, and it can only do what you allowed.
The MCP server needs a paid plan, from $25 a month in the US.
How it works
Add WbizTool to your AI app
In Claude, open Settings → Connectors, choose Add custom connector and enter
https://mcp.wbiztool.com/mcp. In ChatGPT, turn on Developer mode and create a connector with that address and OAuth. On Claude Team and Enterprise plans an organisation Owner adds the connector first; menu names change from time to time, so look for "connectors".Sign in to WbizTool
The app opens WbizTool's sign-in page. Sign in with the account that owns the workspace: only a workspace's Owner can connect an app.
Choose what it may do
Pick the workspace, keep Read only unless the assistant should send, tick the permissions it needs and, if you like, limit it to some of your numbers. Then click Allow.
Ask in a chat
In Claude, switch the WbizTool connector on from the tools menu of a chat. Then ask "What's my WbizTool account?": it should answer with your workspace's name and plan.
What you can do
Read messages and numbers
See the messages you've sent and their status (sent, delivered, read, failed), and which WhatsApp numbers and Telegram accounts are connected.
Send after a preview
Send now or at a time, to a phone, a group, a contact or a Telegram @username. WbizTool first returns a preview (the number it sends from, the recipients, the exact text and the time) and the assistant is told to show it to you and send only after your yes.
Manage reminders
List, create, pause, resume and change repeating reminders. Making one, resuming one or changing who gets what needs a preview too.
Check numbers and use your media
Check which numbers are on WhatsApp, up to 500 at a time, and pick files from your Media directory to send by id.
Ready-made prompts
Three built-in prompts: a daily summary, a look at failed messages and a draft announcement.
Your limits are the hard limit
Read only can't send at all. Without the Send messages permission the assistant never sees the send tools, and one limited to some numbers can't use the others.

}Good to know
- The MCP server works on paid plans only (free trials are refused), and connecting it needs the workspace's Owner.
- Claude and ChatGPT show as verified on WbizTool's approval page; any other app is marked unverified. Only continue if you started the connection yourself.
- It can't connect a new number, upload files, manage webhooks or read your Unibox inbox: those stay in the dashboard.
- WbizTool's limits apply to the assistant too: 60 requests a minute and at most 1,000 messages a day per number.
- What the assistant reads (messages, names and numbers you let it see) goes to its provider, such as Anthropic for Claude or OpenAI for ChatGPT. WbizTool's MCP server keeps nothing and logs only which tool was used.
- WhatsApp bans numbers that send unsolicited or bulk messages. Read the preview before you say yes, and only message people who expect to hear from you.
Questions
- Which AI apps work with it?
- Claude (claude.ai and the desktop app) and ChatGPT by signing in, and Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code by signing in or with an API v2 key. Any app that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP can use
https://mcp.wbiztool.com/mcp. - Can the assistant send a message without asking me?
- Every send first returns a preview from WbizTool, and nothing is sent yet. The assistant is told to show it to you and wait for your yes, then send exactly what you saw; if it repeats a confirmed send, WbizTool answers with the message it already sent. For a hard limit, connect it as Read only: then it can't send at all. If sends keep coming back as a preview, say yes to the preview.
- Can ChatGPT or Claude send WhatsApp messages?
- Yes, through WbizTool's MCP server. In ChatGPT, turn on Developer mode and add a connector with
https://mcp.wbiztool.com/mcpand OAuth; in Claude, add it as a custom connector. Sign in to WbizTool, choose Read and send and tick Send messages. Every send is previewed first. - Do I need an API key?
- Not with Claude or ChatGPT: you sign in to WbizTool and choose what the assistant may do. For Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code or your own scripts you can use an API v2 key: on Settings → API keys, click Create v2 key, then For an AI assistant, for a read-only
wbz_live_…key that expires in 90 days (untick Read-only and tick Send messages only if it should send). Send it in theAuthorization: Bearerheader, or asX-API-Key. API v1 keys don't work. - How do I disconnect an assistant?
- On Settings → API keys, Connected apps lists every app with what it may do and when it was last used. Disconnect stops it at once. An app that hasn't been used for 60 days is signed out by itself.
- What about messages from other people that contain instructions?
- Messages, names and files that came from outside reach the assistant marked as untrusted data, and it's told never to follow instructions inside them. QR codes and pairing codes are never shown.
